As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries at unprecedented speed, an essential question remains: who is shaping the systems behind the technology? At WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2025, this question took center stage through powerful conversations highlighting the women driving real impact in AI.

Global Women TechLeaders (GWTL) was proud to contribute to this global dialogue through the panel “Behind the Code: How Women Are Powering the Future of AI”, featuring Mădălina Florean (Cadmatic) and Alexandra Wudel (FemAI), and moderated by Laura Moritz. The discussion explored women’s leadership across critical AI applications, from autonomous systems to predictive healthcare, reinforcing the role of diverse perspectives in responsible innovation.

GWTL’s leadership was also strongly represented on the main stages of the Congress. Simona Sandru, Founder and CEO of Global Women TechLeaders, served as Moderator of the AI & Machine Learning Track, curating and leading high-level discussions on topics such as AI ethics, large language models, embeddings, and the evolving behavior of intelligent systems. Her presence underscored the importance of inclusive leadership in shaping the future of AI.

In parallel, Steliana Moraru, GWTL Vice President, led the Emerging Technologies Stage, guiding conversations on disruptive platforms, paradigm-shifting tools, and the future of human–AI collaboration. Her leadership created space for bold thinking and forward-looking dialogue at the intersection of technology and society.

With over 10,000 participants and voices from across the global tech ecosystem, WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2025 reaffirmed a shared belief: true innovation is inclusive.
